When to visit southern Corfu
The south of the island runs to a different rhythm from Corfu Town, and what changes across the season is not only the temperature.

Early season
Late spring is the greenest Corfu gets, and Corfu is genuinely green. The wildflowers are still out, walking is comfortable in the middle of the day, and the beaches belong to whoever turns up.
The sea is still finding its temperature. Some people swim happily; others wait for the pool to warm up first.
High summer
Hot, busy, and the evenings run long. This is when the boats go daily, the bar stays open late, and the strip in the centre of the village is at full volume — twenty minutes' walk away, which is rather the point of being at this end.
Plan the day around the sea rather than the sun: swim early, eat late, and leave the middle of the afternoon to the shade in the garden.
Late season
The best-kept part of the year here. The sea holds the summer long after the air has let go of it, the crowds thin, and the evening light is why photographers come in September rather than July.
Excursions still run, though not every one of them every day.
